WA law's required two RCDs minimum on every residential property sold or leased since 2009, and hardwired interconnected smoke alarms since 2009 (mandatory on rentals since 2014). Every property settlement and tenancy changeover in the corridor is a reminder. I do the install, the test, and the paperwork that goes back to the agent.

FAQs
How many RCDs does WA law actually require?
Minimum two RCDs covering all power and lighting circuits on the property at sale or new lease.
What's the difference between a smoke alarm and a hardwired interconnected one?
Hardwired runs off your mains (with 10-year lithium backup), and "interconnected" means when one alarm goes off they all go off — required on rentals since 2014.
Can you do the cert same day?
Most of the time, yes — depends on what I find when I get there. If a board needs upgrading, that's a separate job and I'll let you know up front.
